Located in the heart of Windsor Ontario, Brentwood is a non-denominational recovery home that has served over 20,000 men and women primarily from Windsor and Essex County; however, clients come from all over Canada and the United States.
The facility is set on nine acres with three main buildings and a pavilion. It is staffed by 65 employees including certified counsellors and a full medical staff.

Alcoholism “When I was practicing, blaming, making excuses, and acting out, I didn’t see that I was suffering!” Don Russell – June 26, 2009.
When we were practicing we did not believe in anything. We made excuses. We were all about self pleasure. We tried to justify what we did. We would deliberate with ourselves. We had a great need to know that we were loved but we could not feel it from the people in our lives. This created a void within us and living a life without love is living a life with suffering.
In recovery we have to share with others and talk about the harm and the suffering and what we have done to others. We have to talk about how we felt so that we can take a good look at how we lived our lives. We need to look at ourselves. We need to share about the pain that we have and find out what is the remedy for that pain.
My commitment today is to prevent the needless suffering on my part and the part of others.
