Faith “Always questioning, always quizzing, always complaining, always interrogating because we lack the faith and trust of belief!” Don Russel – Feb 29, 2008.

Faith and belief are spiritual qualities and we, as alcoholics, lack spiritual qualities. If we are into self we only believe in self, look where that got us, into Brentwood. Many people did not have a connection with another person. When we come into recovery, we need to use feeling words in the sharing on one-on-ones to get to the trust. In time we can share without being judged and the trust and faith will come. Fait and trust keep us grounded. If we do not feel faith and trust, we will not feel a part of anything. We cannot grow! We cannot get close to people. We will be isolated. E will be in a void, going around in circles, not knowing what life all about and is the only way to get faith ad trust is to share with people. When we experience faith and hope and peace, it is more powerful than addiction.

My commitment today is to have faith and trust in my recovery program.

Featured Testimonial

Not only did the people at Brentwood change my son, but they changed me as a mother. It allowed me to develop an amazing relationship with my son. When we found Brentwood, I was as much in need of help as my son was. I could not have done this journey without help. Without Brentwood’s help!

By coming to Family Support meetings with an open heart, I found a support system like no others. Brentwood staff have continued to work with my son in his Recovery while I worked my own program. This has allowed us to celebrate and grow in recovery as a family. I will be forever grateful to Brentwood!
