Happiness “When we try to bring love, happiness, joy or compassion into the life of someone else, that’s going to relieve us of our selfishness, our pain, our grief!” Fr. Paul – March 6, 2010.

In recovery we try to bring joy, happiness and peace into the lives of others. Let us take the hurt out of our lives by bringing peace and joy into the life of others and let that be the thing we focus on. Our faith, trust, love and compassion can become a terrific force and also a joy or relief because we now have the power to think of everyone as good. Enjoy the things which bring happiness and make us more spiritual and not more selfish. That is why we are here, for one another. We should be grateful and full of joy that we belong to a group of people who understand what life is all about, belong to that spiritual force so we can make our own contribution to the group. We should be grateful and thankful to be at peace.

My commitment today is to bring happiness into the life of someone else!

Not only did the people at Brentwood change my son, but they changed me as a mother. It allowed me to develop an amazing relationship with my son. When we found Brentwood, I was as much in need of help as my son was. I could not have done this journey without help. Without Brentwood’s help!

By coming to Family Support meetings with an open heart, I found a support system like no others. Brentwood staff have continued to work with my son in his Recovery while I worked my own program. This has allowed us to celebrate and grow in recovery as a family. I will be forever grateful to Brentwood!
